Photovoltaic rooftop: In the context of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" goals of Chinese government, developing low-carbon green buildings are a key measure to achieve "carbon neutrality". Compared with the centralized photovoltaic power station, the distributed photovoltaic power supply on the rooftop is the power supply dominated by the user side, which can effectively reduce the dependence on the centralized grid power supply and improve the flexibility of the power system. According to the estimates of the industry and brokerage firms, based on the scale of China's real estate and construction area, the total space of distributed photovoltaic rooftops in China may exceed 600GW, which is 2.36 times the current installed capacity of photovoltaics, and the scale of photovoltaic construction market will reach trillions of yuan. After more than ten years of development, China's photovoltaic industry has already had a mature industrial chain. With the current decline in the price of photovoltaic products and the dual attributes of energy and building materials given to photovoltaic rooftops, the whole industry will usher in a new period of rapid development followed by the implementation of national policies.


Due to the instability of photovoltaic power generation and the difficulty of power grid dispatching, the integration into the grid is subject to certain restrictions. Although the installed capacity has increased year by year, the problem of loss of power abandonment has also arisen accordingly. The development of corresponding energy storage and micro-grids may provide a way for the healthy development of the distributed photovoltaic industry.
